For as long as we have been alive diets have been in existence. Television, print ads and radio never fail to talk about the NEXT FAD DIET!
The problem with fad diets and any diet program in general is:
They have a strict rigid program that is hard to follow.
They have a TEMPORARY mindset.
They only address the how and not the WHY you eat like you do.
They make you feel guilty when you eat something that is delicious.
They make you believe you have to follow a certain exercise program
Why would you want to do that to yourself? The fact is DIETS DON'T WORK! Even if they do, it's a proven fact that 90% of people gain the weight back plus ATLEAST 10 lbs!
The diet industry knows this too!
The Blue Print For Success:
You must own your eating plan.
Has to be easy to follow.
You have to be able to follow it even when you are with your friends.
You must be able to identify and address the why and not just the how.
Exercise:
To exercise and lose weight you must not exercise. That sounds a bit counter intuitive because it is! Back in the 1800's people didn't have weight problems, they also lacked exercise! So how did this no exercise, low fat combination work? It simple their daily activity allowed them to eat without thinking about it. Thus they ate to live not eat to live. Unfortunately you can thank the fast food industry for the paradigm shift on that. Anyway, if you want to get healthy without exercise then find an activity that you enjoy.
Activities may include:
walking
yard work
martial arts
golf
basketball
football
paint ball
etc. Use you imagination!
The point is, find an activity you enjoy and do it?
Now You might be asking, “how do I find a great diet plan that will let me eat like a human being and tie in what I like to do for exercise?”
